Which apps use your network, a Hardware tab, and MangoStats in Portuguese.

## New

- **Apps using the network:** the Network tab lists each app's download, upload, and traffic this session. When one app takes most of your bandwidth, MangoStats names it: "Dropbox is uploading at 4.2 MB/s".
- **Hardware tab** (⌘4): battery health, cycles, capacity, charging or discharging watts, temperature, and charger, with health over time (one point a day). Also the energy each app used since it started, and the disk's live read and write speeds with the apps behind them.
- **Português (Brasil):** every word in the menu bar, window, Settings, and alerts follows your Mac's language.

## Changed

- About moved to ⌘5.

An About tab, and a way to find our other apps.

## New

- **About tab** (⌘4): the version, Check for Updates, links to the website, GitHub, and what's new, what MangoStats is, and its credits.
- **More from MangoCorp:** MangoMemory, our menu bar memory app. Open it from here if it's installed, or get it from its website.

A Network tab that tells you where a connection problem is.

## New

- **Network tab** (⌘2). One verdict in plain words — *"All good"*, *"Your Wi-Fi is the weak link"*, *"Your ISP is slow right now"* — above the path from this Mac through Wi-Fi, your router, and your ISP to the internet, with latency on each step.
- **Router:** its address and maker, latency, jitter, packet loss, DHCP lease, whether it's your DNS, and its model when it shares one.
- **Wi-Fi:** signal, noise, and SNR rated Excellent to Poor, link rate, band, channel, Wi-Fi standard, security, and the network's name (macOS asks for Location to show it; MangoStats never uses your location).
- **Internet and DNS:** latency, jitter, and loss to Cloudflare, Google, and Apple, how fast each DNS server answers, and outages while you watch.
- **Speed test** with Apple's own networkQuality: download, upload, and responsiveness, only when you click.
- **Devices** on your network with their makers, named when they announce themselves.

## Privacy

The Network tab works only while it's open. It pings your router and three well-known sites, traces the route to 1.1.1.1, and asks each of your DNS servers for apple.com. macOS asks for Local Network access the first time. Nothing about your network leaves your Mac.

A new look, and an Overview that tells you what's worth a look.

## New

- **Overview.** The window opens with the one thing worth your attention, in plain words: "Memory is tight · Google Chrome is holding 12,5 GB", with **Review** to find that app in the process list and **Dismiss** to hide it until something changes. When nothing is wrong, it says so.
- **Storage card** with "See what's using space", and five stat cards (CPU, GPU, Network, Battery, Fan) with live sparklines.
- **Processes:** switch between All, Apps, and Background, sort by CPU or memory, filter by name or PID, and show the top 13 or all of them.
- **The accent color you pick in Settings › Appearance now colors the whole app.** Amber is the new default.

## Changed

- A calmer, warmer dark design throughout: the window, the menu bar popover, History, and Settings.
- Fan modes (Auto, Cool, Max) moved to a menu on the Fan card.
- Numbers no longer animate as they change, which halves the energy MangoStats uses with the popover open.

The first release of MangoStats: live Mac stats in the menu bar.

## What's in it

- **Menu bar:** pick which stats show (CPU, GPU, Memory, Disk, Network, Temperature, Fan, Battery), reorder them, icon and value or value only.
- **Popover:** a health score with its reasons, a card per stat with its history, the top processes, and whether the camera or microphone is in use and what keeps the Mac awake.
- **Status window:** eight live cards and every process, sortable and searchable, with Quit and Force Quit.
- **History:** a minute-by-minute record for up to 90 days, charted by hour, day, week, or month.
- **Alerts:** a notification when memory pressure turns critical, the CPU runs hot or busy, disk space or the battery runs low, or one app hogs the CPU. Off until you turn them on.
- **Fan control:** Auto, Cool, and Max, through a helper you approve once. It returns to Auto whenever MangoStats isn't running.
- **Check for Updates…** in Settings › General.

## Privacy

Everything stays on this Mac. MangoStats connects to the internet only to measure network latency (a connection to 1.1.1.1 every 30 seconds) and, once a day, to download the list of releases from mangocorporation.github.io. You can turn the update check off in Settings › General.
